S2 Security | S2 Pronto to Preview at ISC West

February 2010: S2 Pronto, S2 Security's latest system offering, will be previewed at ISC West in Las Vegas this March. Pronto targets the market for systems for smaller applications that require fewer heavyweight features but that the benefits of the web-based network appliance architecture that is the hallmark of all S2 systems. Pronto systems are value-priced, and offer a completely new user experience that brings extreme usability to the S2 product line.
The S2 Pronto starts with the S2 NetBox engine, a proven software suite with tens of millions of operating hours behind it. Its the same software engine found in our S2 NetBox and Enterprise lines.
The user interface, however, is very different. It has been designed to simplify system setup and operation so that new or infrequent users can easily use the system without training. The complex menu tree found in S2's more advanced platforms is replaced in the Pronto by icon buttons sized appropriately for use with touch screens. And, an advanced home page displays the system activity log, a shortcut menu for one-click access to the most commonly used functions, and a new auto-monitor that watches the system for the user. The auto-monitor features zero-click technology - just a mouse gesture displays detail for each event in its list. Numerous other features of Pronto make it exceptionally easy to install and use. Wizards guide system setup, doing the tedious work of defining inputs, oututs, and readers, and commonly needed access levels are set up automatically. Pronto systems, once installed, can be up and running literally in mintues.
