Introducing S2 Enterprise and S2 Enterprise Ultra |

January 2008: S2 Security is introducing two new system level products to answer the demand for S2 technology in larger and heavily networked environments. The S2 Enterprise and Enterprise Ultra products are network appliances with an advanced version of the popular S2 NetBox software coupled with a high speed Pentium processor, and a hard disk based operating system. The S2 Enterprise Ultra adds mirrored hard disks for fault tolerant data storage.
The Enterprise series products have approximately 10 times the throughput of the solid state product line, making them ideal for larger scale applications and those requiring many network end points. The company plans to add a number of advanced capabilities to its Enterprise line, including integration with other S2 Enterprise and S2 NetBox products, forming large scale networked systems.
S2 NetBox, the company's original solid state network appliance product continues to be enhanced and is ideal for smaller facilities and value engineered larger systems. The company is also investigating the possibility of introducing a smaller version of the S2 NetBox product that is specifically targeted at the 2 to 10 reader market.

S2 Previews Support for Panasonic, JVC Video Products |

May 2008:S2 Security has previewed support for the Panasonic HD300 series DVR line and the JVC VR900 NVR line at the IFSEC trade event in Birmingham, England. These are the first of several new video integrations involving the S2 product line that will reach the market this spring and summer. The S2 strategy has been to support best-of-breed video solutions through its S2 NetBox and S2 Enterprise integrated system product lines.
